2010 Ford Mustang GT Exhaust Guide
Welcome to the 2010 Ford Mustang GT Exhaust Guide.
Updated 5/25/11. New video’s added!
Check out video additions under Borla, MAC, Pypes, Roush, and SSS.
This has been created to provide 2010 Ford Mustang GT owners and enthusiasts with a resource for researching as well as comparing the sound of available aftermarket exhaust. Instead of having to search for videos of different brands and exhaust set-ups, I have brought them all together into one common page. This page will be continuously updated as video’s of new exhaust are posted throughout the web.
It should be noted that the 2010 Mustang GT uses the same 4.6L 3V V8 previously found in the 2005-2009 Mustang GT, therefore 2005-2009 Mustang exhaust will work fine. However, due to the styling changes for 2010, the rear valence comes out further by several inches. This means that using 2005-2009 axleback’s and catback’s on a 2010 model will result in the exhaust tips not sticking out far enough to clear the rear valence. Additionally this creates potential for the rear valence to heat up and could possibly melt the plastic. This varies slightly from brand to brand and it is not to say that they will not work, it is simply a note to be aware of. My recommendation is to check with the exhaust brand you choose to be absolutely certain. Some of the major exhaust manufacturers for Mustang’s have therefore produced axleback’s and catback’s that are specific to the 2010 Mustang GT.
The video’s listed below show exhaust on 2010 Mustang GT’s. If a particular set-up is not listed you can search for the same set-up on youtube for 2005-2009 Mustang GT’s as they produce the exact same sound. Time permitting, I may expand on this guide to include 2005-2009 exhaust as well for reference.
Exhaust brands are listed in alphabetical order. The exact set-up on the car is listed prior to the video.
